The deadline for Applications to Ards Arts Committee Small Grants Fund has been extended by two weeks, until September 14th. Application forms can be obtained from Ards Arts Centre, Town Hall, Conway Square, Newtownards.
A limited number of Grants, of £250, are available in this round of funding and applications will be assessed by the Ards Arts Committee.
Describing the Funding, Jim Bunting, Ards Arts Committee Chair said, “the funding scheme supports arts, community and special interest groups throughout the Ards Borough who wish to enhance existing, or undertake new community arts activities. The next round of funding for projects happening in October, November and December has had its deadline changed from the 31st August to the 14th September.” “This extension is to give more time for groups to finalise preparations of activities leading up to Christmas2, he added.
Ards Borough Council Services Committee Chair, Cllr Jonathan Bell, encouraged those interested to apply “If you have an Arts project and want to apply for funding, I would encourage you to do so, particularly as the Community Arts Development Officer is available to give advice on suitable arts activities and the application process.”
Completed applications for projects taking place in October, November and December must be received by 4.30pm on Friday 14th September 2007. Application forms can be obtained from Ards Arts Centre, Town Hall, Conway Square, Newtownards, BT23 4DB.
