Hello. I am Deborah Gibson. I live in South Dakota USA, but I have some family ties to Comber. I am requesting a bit of help to perhaps locate more family history.If you would be so kind as to post my letter, I will tell you that I am looking for any information or other relatives of the people I shall list below. I would be very grateful. Here is the list/info that I have to go on:
* Sarah J. Bennett, daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Bennett (Sarah would have been my paternal grandmother, she died in 1927 in Iowa USA) She was born in Comber June 25, 1883. She was married July 15,1905 in Dundonald, to John Gibson. In 1913 she came over to the USA, two years after her husband. She had her two oldest children with her, James and Sadie.She was survived by two brothers and three sisters, all lived in Ireland but one, who moved to Australia.
* John Gibson ( my paternal grandfather) was born Sept. 1884, and passed away Dec. 30, 1946. He had sisters in Ireland( as of 1965):
* Mrs. Sarah Russell
* Mrs. Minnie Watson
* Mrs.Agnes Cairns (or Coirns)
* Mrs. Maria McKeag
Again, if anyone has any sort of knowledge, I would be very grateful. I am very interested in my Irish roots...as far back as possible.
