Welcome to our Comber History Pages!
Comber is evolving, constantly changing as time passes us by so quickly, so quickly that we can easily forget that our town of Comber has a deep and interesting past dating back thousands of years.
The great Comber Historian Norman Nevin left the people of Comber his legacy, "The Story Of Comber", the original edition was only available to view at the Comber Library, that was until this year when Erskine Willis transcribed Normans work to computer, and now is available here for download.
The work of Norman Nevin also inspired local Historians and Comber Historical Society Founders Len Ball and Desmond Rainey to pen and publish "A Taste Of Old Comber".
The Comber Historical Society meets at 8pm on the second Monday of every month in the Comber Learning Centre , Park Way, and the doors are always open to new members and visitors.
