Ards Borough Council has presented a local primary school with a special ‘bouquet’ to mark its 70th anniversary.
A decorative carpet bedding scheme has been created by the Council’s Parks and Cemeteries staff in Comber Square to commemorate Comber Primary School’s establishment in 1938.
“Comber Primary has been an integral part the town and the wider community for seven decades and it’s fitting that this display should take pride of place in the centre of Comber where locals and visitors alike will be able to see and enjoy it,” said Mayor of Ards, Councillor Jim Fletcher. “I’m delighted that we have been able to help celebrate the school’s long history in such a visible way”.
The planting display will remain in bloom until the early autumn.
