Ards Retains Leisure Award
Ards Leisure Centre has retained its quality award and for the third time has improved its rating.
The Centre underwent an assessment last week for QUEST, the UK leisure industry’s quality standard, achieving a score of 74%, up from its 2004 mark of 72%.
Ards first gained the award in 2002 and has been assessed every two years to ensure standards are not only maintained, but enhanced.
“Successfully passing QUEST and achieving a higher score each time is significant because it demonstrates that we are continually improving our level of service and that’s what this kind of quality measurement system is all about,” said Dusty Millar, General Manager of Leisure Ards. “It is, of course, an entirely independent audit of everything we do, from cleaning rotas and supervision at the pool to customer satisfaction and how the centre and its activities are marketed. It is a boost for the staff to have their work recognised once again, but also provides reassurance to our customers that Ards is on a par with the best in both public and private sector leisure facilities across the UK”.
Comber Leisure Centre also holds the accreditation.
